A Word to Prospective Students

The Onthank Lab is looking for motivated undergraduate and graduate students that are wanting to investigate physiological, ecological, or perhaps even behavioral questions in marine invertebrates, especially cephalopods. If any of this excites you, please drop me a line and we can talk more about the potential of doing research at Walla Walla University.

Undergraduates

I am interested in having several undergraduates each quarter participate significantly in the research ongoing in the lab. This participation could range from helping keep the lab in proper functioning condition, to caring for animals such as octopuses that are routinely being kept in the lab for research, to helping with data collection of ongoing research, to planning and executing a small research project of your own.

Prospective Graduate Students

Do you want to get a master’s degree in biology working with some of the most interesting and alien animals known to man? Would you like to do your graduate research in one of the most beautiful places on earth?

If so, I would urge you to consider pursuing a Master of Science in Biology in the Onthank Lab at Walla Walla University. I am typically able to add one or two graduate students to the lab each year.
